Yes, families and school group are welcome for free.
Prior to COVID we had about 500 students come through our event. As we rebuild the Expo our numbers are continuing to climb! Our first year back, in 2024 we had approx. 230 students and in 2025 we had roughly 310 students.
No, we don't require preregistration. We highly encourage you to preregister so that we can give our exhibitors an estimate of how many students to expect for the Expo so that they can bring enough supplies. You can register your student here: Student Registration
This is the best way for us to communicate to you any possible last minute changes, reminders about the event, or to notify you about next year's Expo. Your email will not be sold or distributed in anyway.
No, all minors must have an adult present with them the entire time. If your child is old enough to explore on their own, you are welcome to sit in the family area while waiting for them.
Possibly, we do our best to not emphasize faces in any media collected (photo/video). However, this is a public event and your attendance will be considered as consent to be photographed.
We understand that some children may find the busy environment overwhelming. While the Expo is open to the public at a set time, we may be able to offer early entry (approximately 30 minutes before doors open) for a limited number of families. Please contact us in advanced so we can coordinate details and do our best to accommodate your needs.
You can! We consider sponsorship and exhibiting as separate but we'd be glad to have you as both. Please fill out the exhibitor form so we can track your activity, needed space, and any extra accommodations requested.
The Planning Committee for the STEM Expo is made up of members of the Central Ohio Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Spearheaded by the Younger Members group, we're full-time engineers that donate our free time to put together this event to enrich and inspire young minds.
